Advantages	Abrasion-proof hose cover and a low sensitivity to external damage More flexible than plastic hose Can be repaired on site using screw couplings	Lighter than rubber hose, thus floatable, sewer nozzle can be pulled for a longer distance Less friction in the sewer compared to the rubber hose Lower pressure losses due to a smooth inner surface
Disadvantages	Heavier than plastic hose Higher pressure losses than in the plastic hose due to a rough surface	Sensitive to external damage Handling: comparatively stiff, a piece of rubber hose might be required between sewer nozzle and HP flushing hose Smooth hose outer cover: hose can unwind from the reel when not under strain
