First Palestine International Water Forum
The Forum is organised under the slogan: "Integrated Water Resources Management: Best Practices and Technology Transfer". It will provide a uniqoe opportunity to learn about the new progressive tools, the technologies that have emerges, and the best practices developed in support of implementation of integrated water resources management (IWRM) as a main approach to achieving water security.
The First Palestine International Water Forum will be a multi-stakeholder platform where a renowned group of water experts, policy and decision makers from around the world will have the opportunity to work together to develop joint solutions. The forum aims to attract influential politicians and economists, water experts and representatives from non-governmental organisations, donors, the private sector and international organisations dealing with water related issues.
The forum's sessions will contribute to shaping the future of the water sector through presentations, discussion papers, experience sharing and exhchange of lessons learnt as well as case studies. It will take into accounte the rapid changes affecting the sector globally, such as water resources' scarcity, climate change and the emerging nexus of "food-energy-water". It will use scientific evidence in identifying best ways to employ advancements in IWRM to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and overcoming the challenges of water resources management.
On the side-lines of this forum, an exhibition will be organised, which will provide a unique opportunity for arganisations and institutons to showcase their latest technologies, products and services in water and wastewater fields. A number of site seeing tours to some of the Palestinian historical and cultural sites and water projects will also be organised.
