SSC to celebrate 40th Anniversary and hold ribbon cutting ceremony for opening of new facility
Oct 19, 2009
Phoenix, AZ (PRWEB) - In honor of its 40th anniversary, Specialized Services Company, nationally recognized as a front-runner in the field of Trenchless Construction, will officially open its newly remodeled and expanded facility during a day-long celebration slated for October 23rd.
The 40th anniversary celebration recognizes SSC's long history of quality and innovation and their unprecedented commitment to superior customer service-a crucial motivation for expansion.
SSC was founded in 1969 by Arvid Veidmark Jr., wife Marcia, and family. Although some of the faces have changed, Veidmark's vision to provide a valuable service to the community is still intact. For many years now, son Arvid III has worked diligently to expand the company's reach by combining new and innovative technology, with superior customer service. His foresight and enthusiasm has propelled the company to new heights-once a small family business that serviced the local Arizona community, now a leading force in underground utility infrastructure nationwide.
Another significant force in the company is Marcia Veidmark, current President and one of the original founders. Now nearing retirement, Marcia's tireless efforts have had a profound effect on the company's success. While her three sons, Arvid III, Aaron, and Abe managed estimating and field operations, she worked to develop relationships with local organizations such as the Arizona Small Business Association, The Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Arizona State University, and APS AAAME, which provided her the tools and talent to help her manage, market, and grow her business. "Becoming actively involved in these organizations provided the educational development our family business required," said Marcia Veidmark. "It also offered an opportunity to connect with other business professionals, many of whom have since become a part of our formal advisory team. This was crucial to the development and growth of our business," she said.
In addition to celebrating the past, the anniversary event is an opportunity for SSC to express their appreciation for all who contributed to their success, and to share their vision for a future piloted by second generation owners.
SSC provides turnkey trenchless boring and tunneling services as well as subsurface utility engineering for clients worldwide.
