Aarsleff to carry out reservoir pipe near Damhusåen
Dec 10, 2012
Aarsleff has entered into a partnering contract with the utility company Københavns Energi A/S for the establishment of a reservoir pipe near the stream Damhusåen below the Vigerslev Park.
The project is carried out in partnering between Københavns Energi A/S, Per Aarsleff A/S and Aarsleff's subsidiary Østergaaard A/S, a tunneling specialist.
The project is commenced by a design phase which we expect will be followed by a contract for the execution. The design phase will begin in January 2013, and the entire project is expected to be completed in April 2016. The preliminary estimate of the project that was put out to tender is DKK 258 million.
The reservoir pipe will be established as an equalising reservoir with a diameter of 3 metres and is to be carried out by means of tunnelling, stretching over 3.4 kilometres in depths of 12-16 metres.
In addition, the contract includes execution of five structures functioning as access shafts inclusive of concrete work for future rinsing arrangements. The project will also include drainage work for connection to the existing drainage system.
The earnings impact of the contract will be included in the total earnings expectations which will be informed as usual in the preliminary announcement of financial statements for 2011/2012.
