This year's conference Tunnel Design & Construction Europe provides a unique opportunity to meet and hear from senior regional and international figures about the most challenging European tunnel projects such as the Coentunnel, the North South Metro Line in Amsterdam, the Marmaray Tunnel, the Crossrail project, the Brenner Basistunnel in Austria and the Metro 4 line tunnel in Budapest.
European countries are spending huge sums constructing, maintaining and upgrading existing underground spaces. Tunnel structures have become longer, more complicated and the underground transit is on the rise. They are becoming increasingly vital part of European transport infrastructure networks. This represents major challenges in the future.
This conference will highlight specific topics to promote far reaching debate and discussion amongst the tunnelling community, generate closer dialogue and encourage the exchange of views and knowledge in an open and informal atmosphere.
