International Symposium on Utilization of Underground Space in Urban Areas

After several successful International Symposiums in  1991, 1992, 1999 and ITA Congress in 1994, which were all held in Cairo, ETS planned to make its International Symposium of 2006 in Sharm el Sheikh, one of the most beautiful and unique resorts.

Nov 06, 2006 - Nov 07, 2006
Target groups: technicians, engineers
Category: Symposium
As the over ground space is becoming congested and very expensive especially in our big cities, the planners and developers of over ground constructions and roads could find help to plan their projects underground.

Their advantage here is the acquisition of land that previously they never tried to invest. They will get two for the price of one i. e. more urban development space and less surface congestion. The world population, especially in a country like Egypt, is growing up and we all need to find an appropriate way to develop our infrastructure alongside.

The concept of the symposium is to promote the tunnelling and underground works industry in Egypt. Distinguished speakers, including Members of E.C. of ITA and  other international specialists  are invited to  present their recent experiences on the most interesting topics related to the theme of the symposium.
