The 5th International Workshop on Advanced Ground Penetrating Radar (IWAGPR) will be organized by the Electromagnetics Group of Granada. It will be held in Granada, during May 27-29, 2009 and will take place at the Faculty of Sciences (Facultad de Ciencias) situated in the centre of the city of Granada.

IWAGPR is a biennial series of international scientific symposia devoted to the advancements in GPR techniques and applications. The conference is aimed at presenting scientific and technical information of high standard to scientists, engineers and users of GPR technology.

The range of interest includes but is not limited to radar systems and technologies, antennas, data processing, inverse scattering and any of the increasing GPR applications.

The goal of the workshop is to spread knowledge about GPR technology and its use, as well as to provide a unique possibility for participants to exchange ideas about the advances in their work and discuss their results. To enhance this opportunity the workshop we plan to schedule the workshop in oral presentations without parallel sessions and in poster presentations, which the committee considers as important as the oral presentations. All papers presented at the conference will be published in the workshop proceedings. The official language of the conference is English.
