2006 Alberta Trenchless Technology Symposium

The 2006 Alberta Trenchless Technology Symposium is a joint symposium of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering Edmonton Section, the Alberta Region of the Tunnelling Association of Canada, and the Northwest Chapter of the North American Society for Trenchless Technology.

This one-day event consists of presentations of the utilization of trenchless technology for the installation, repair, inspection, and maintenance of subsurface utilities; including exhibits from various manufactures, suppliers, contractors, and consultants involved in trenchless construction. Keynote speaker will be Joanne Hughes, who is VP of Raven Lining Systems, a manufacturer of protective and structural coating and lining systems used in the water and wastewater industries. Since 1992, she has been an active member of WEF, NASSCO, NASTT, NACE and ASCE. Hughes has authored several articles and presents seminars across the country on manhole rehabilitation and coatings for infrastructure protection rehabilitation. She is currently a board member and Chairman of NASTT and committee member in the ASCE Pipelines division.

Call for presentation abstracts:
Deadline September 6, 2006. Parties interested in contributing a 20-minute presentation at the symposium should contact Ken Chua (Ken.Chua@edmonton.ca) or Dave Krywiak (DKrywiak@stantec.com). An abstract will be required for the presentation to be considered for the symposium of no more than 500 words. No technical paper is required for the symposium, however a Power Point presentation is required for the proceedings.
