Update BE-21: New Material in Course and Modules on Trenchless Pipe Installation

Mar 26, 2024

Online training on the topic of pipeline installation in civil engineering: Trenchless technology for underground drainage construction can be a resource-efficient, environmentally friendly, time-saving, and cost-effective alternative to open cut methods. The UNITRACC e-learning course "Utility Tunnelling" has been enhanced with additional technical and visual elements related to sewer and pipeline construction, specifically in pipe jacking and microtunnelling.

New Learning Material Regarding Trenchless Technology

UNITRACC learning content is continuously updated and improved both in terms of didactics and content!

With our latest update, the E-learning course BE-21 Utility Tunneling has been completed with additional images and technical explanations.

This applies to the following modules, which are also part of the corporate training package:

New content includes insights and visual material on design, excavation tools, defects, buoyancy force specifics, and aspects of microtunneling with hydraulic spoil removal, among others.

About the Online Course and Modules on Trenchless Pipe Installation

Given the many disadvantages associated with open cut / digging along with the growing environmental awareness of the population, it is imperative to take trenchless technologies into account in the planning and construction of pipelines and utility networks.

The course material comprises over 700 pages, featuring photographs, illustrations, animations, tables, and video material.

The estimated learning time is approximately 30 hours within four weeks.

UNITRACC Portal for Enterprises

UNITRACC is an e-learning, information, and working platform for underground construction. It has been providing online training courses to customers - who are mainly public agencies, engineering offices, higher education institutions, and skilled individuals - since 2003. The UNITRACC Knowledge Portal for Enterprises offers digital access to all courses, modules, construction site documentations, and technical books about the rehabilitation and maintenance of drains and sewers for a monthly fee of 150 €. Topics include water and wastewater pipeline construction, rehabilitation, management, and maintenance. They cover a huge variety of trenchless construction and rehabilitation technologies such as utility tunneling, microtunneling, pipe bursting, lining with close-fit pipes, lining with continuous pipes, lining with spirally-wound pipes, lining with cured in cured-in-place pipes (CIPP), injection and sealing processes as well as open cut method.
