RWE Umwelt verkauft Kanal-Müller-Gruppe

Neue Perspektiven für die KMG-Gruppe Der Vorstand der RWE Umwelt hat den Verkauf der Kanal-Müller-Gruppe (KMG) mit Sitz in Schieder-Schwalenberg an das Konsortium Chevalier/Rabmer, bestehend aus der international tätigen Chevalier-Gruppe mit Sitz in Hongkong und der österreichischen Rabmer-Gruppe mit Sitz in Altenberg bei Linz, beschlossen. Mit der Transaktion setzt die RWE Umwelt konsequent die Konzentration auf das Abfall- und Recycling-Kerngeschäft fort.
'Als strategischer Käufer verfügt das Chevalier/Rabmer Konsortium über das für eine erfolgreiche Fortführung der KMG-Gruppe erforderliche Branchen-Know-how', erklärt Ralph Lindackers, Finanzvorstand der RWE Umwelt. Damit eröffnen sich für die KMG-Gruppe in einem schwierigen Markt- und Wettbewerbsumfeld neue Perspektiven im europäischen Markt und darüber hinaus.
Die Chevalier-Gruppe ist eines der bedeutenden internationalen Rohrsanierungsunternehmen. Die Rabmer-Gruppe engagiert sich europaweit im Bereich der grabenlosen Rohrsanierung bzw. -erneuerung, verkauft Know-how und entwickelt Materialien und Geräte. Über gemeinsame Beteiligungen haben beide Unternehmen den weltweiten Rohrsanierungsmarkt erschlossen.
Die Investoren sehen vor, den bisherigen KMG-Hauptsitz zu einer Technologie-Zentrale der Unternehmensgruppe auszubauen. Zu diesem Zweck sollen Produktionseinheiten, Lagereinrichtungen sowie Logistikkompetenz aus anderen Standorten des Konsortiums nach Schieder-Schwalenberg verlagert werden und dadurch relevante Auslastungsverbesserungen der vorhandenen Kapazitäten realisiert werden.
Der Verkauf erfordert noch die Zustimmung des Aufsichtsrates der RWE Umwelt.
