Neuer Generalsekretär für die EWA

Auf Entscheidung des Vorstands der European Water Association (EWA) wurde Dipl.-Ing. Johannes Lohaus, kommissarischer Hauptgeschäftsführer der ATV-DVWK (Deutsche Vereinigung für Wasserwirtschaft, Abwasser und Abfall), ab dem 1. Oktober 2004 zum Generalsekretär der EWA bestellt. Die Wahl gilt für eine Übergangszeit bis zur nächsten Vorstandssitzung im April 2005.
Johannes Lohaus ist Bauingenieur mit Schwerpunkt in der Siedlungswasserwirtschaft. Er arbeitet seit 1988 bei der ATV-DVWK, zunächst als Leiter der Abteilung Abwasser und Gewässerschutz und als stellvertretender Hauptgeschäftsführer sowie seit dem 20. August 2004 als kommissarischer Hauptgeschäftsführer.
