MC-Bauchemie Starts Operations in Bolivia
Jun 15, 2021
With the acquisition of the majority of shares of Linox, a Bolivian company that manufactures construction chemical products, on 1 April 2021, MC-Bauchemie has now also started operations in Bolivia.
The water-based, two-component epoxy resin dispersion has been developed for MC-Bauchemie has thus taken another important step towards growth in Latin America. The Linox Group, which will be renamed MC-Bauchemie Bolivia SRL, has been operating for over 25 years with branches in the cities of Santa Cruz, La Paz, Cochabamba and Oruro, covering the most important cities in Bolivia. Linox offers the local market an extensive product portfolio of waterproofing products and paintings.
"We are pleased to have taken another step in our expansion in Latin America. We see great potential in the Bolivian construction sector, both in the industrial and infrastructure sectors as well as in the building construction sector," says Jaques Pinto, Regional Director for Latam, adding, "We believe that the regional expertise we have acquired in recent years in the Brazilian and Chilean markets is a perfect fit for the requirements of the Bolivian market. Together with our local production, the proximity to our Brazilian plants will also play an important role in being able to offer our complete product range in Bolivia quickly."
Currently, MC-Bauchemie has its own operations in Latin America in Brazil, Bolivia and Chile, as well as distributors in Uruguay and Paraguay. "We want to further expand our activities in these countries as part of our Vision 2030," emphasises Jaques Pinto.
