Neue VSB-Empfehlung: "Einbeziehung der Grundstücksentwässerungsanlagen (GEA) in eine ganzheitliche Sanierungsstrategie"

Weit mehr als die Hälfte aller privaten Entwässerungsleitungen sind undicht. Das haben Untersuchungen in den vergangenen Jahren gezeigt.
Die Folge: Trotz vielerorts aufwändig sanierter öffentlicher Kanalsysteme wird weiter zu viel Fremdwasser in Kläranlagen transportiert. Dabei geraten die Anlagen oft an ihr Leistungslimit, wenn sie bei starken Niederschlägen nicht nur Schmutzwasser, sondern auch Fremd- und Regenwasser reinigen müssen. In Mischwassersystemen verunreinigt das Fremdwasser zudem die Flüsse und Seen. Was also tun mit maroden Leitungen von Privateigentümern, auf die die öffentliche Hand nur bedingt Zugriff hat?
Um diese Probleme zu lösen, sollten Städte und Kommunen die Gründstückseigentümer beraten und sie davon überzeugen, ihre Leitungen auf Dichtigkeit überprüfen und gegebenfalls sanieren zu lassen. Wie das am besten geht, zeigt der Verband zertifizierter Sanierungsberater (VSB) in seiner neuen Handlungsempfehlung Nr. 17. Die 22-seitige Broschüre mit dem Titel " Einbeziehung der Grundstücksentwässerunganlagen (GEA) in eine ganzheitliche Sanierungsstrategie" wurde von Fachleuten der Wasserwirtschaft aus ganz Deutschland entworfen. Die Broschüre stellt ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel dar, das Wege aufzeigt, gemeinsam mit den Bürgern das Problem der undichten Leitungen anzugehen.
