Attention: The complete curing of the lining tube is not a matter of course and depends strongly on the technique used and its correct application. An essential aspect is the penetration depth of the light as a function of its wavelength (or frequency). Short-wave radiation, such as UV light, has only an extremely low penetration depth compared to longer-wave, visible or infrared light. For example, a UV transmission measurement of a 200 mm thick PE/PA foil, using UV curing with a light wavelength of 340 mm and 370 mm, results in an absorption of approx. 40-45% of the light [Sebastian2020].
