The “Quick-Lock Big” liner end sleeve system from Uhrig Kanaltechnik GmbH consists of an EPDM surface elastomer which is manufactured depending to the nominal diameter and the wall thickness of the CIPP-liner to be bridged. The EPDM seal is completely covered by the V4A stainless steel collar.

Advantages:

• Optimized geometry for protection against operational influences
• Watertight even at high external groundwater pressures
• Due to installation with a slight projection in the manhole, the sleeve can be used as mechanical protection of the pipe edge when flushing nozzles (deflection rollers) are used.

Disadvantages:

• Only suitable for circular cross sections
• The system is not flexible, so that only minimal angulations (≤ 1°) are possible. Offset of pipe connections or radial cracks in the sleeve setting area also limit the range of application
• If necessary, the sleeve can only be removed and reinstalled with a complete replacement of the material, no damage to the CIPP-liner is caused.
