When selecting the manhole reconnection techniques, the condition of the connection area must be taken into account. Infiltrations in the transition area of the CIPP liner to the structures must be eliminated in any case before the connection is made.

The connection to the existing structures includes the permanent sealing of the annular gap between the host pipe and the CIPP liner as well as the connection of the CIPP liner to the structure.

Epoxy resins, isocyanate resins, hand laminate or sleeves are to be used for the connection. The material must be specified with binding effect before installation. Cement-bound materials are to be used exclusively for preparatory work [DWAM144-3:2012].
