Washington County Service Authority Selects HomeServe USA to Offer Customers Optional Water & Sewer Line Coverage Plans
Apr 11, 2017
HomeServe USA (HomeServe), a leading provider of home emergency repair solutions, today announced the launch of its partnership with Washington County Service Authority (WCSA) to offer optional service plans for both interior and exterior water and sewer lines. The plans offered through HomeServe, available to the 21,000 households served by WCSA, will provide homeowners with coverage that protects them from the costs and inconveniences associated with emergency repairs to the water and sewer lines connecting their home to WCSA’s system.
“We’ve learned that often homeowners are unaware that water and sewer line repairs are the responsibility of the property owner, which leaves them unprepared in the event of a repair emergency,” said WCSA General Manager, Robbie Cornett. “Through our partnership with HomeServe we are now able to offer WCSA customers affordable options to cover water and sewer line repairs so that our customers are protected from the unexpected expense and inconvenience associated with this type of repair.”
A Homeowner’s Line of Defense
The water and sewer lines from the home to WCSA’s water and sewer main connections are the responsibility of the homeowner. Often unaware that repairs to these pipes are not covered basic homeowners insurance or by WCSA, homeowners find themselves having to deal with the inconvenience of navigating emergency repairs on their own. Furthermore, they can be blindsided by the costs associated with such repairs. HomeServe’s coverage plans serve as a line of defense, ensuring that in the event of a repair emergency, the burden on homeowners is minimized or eliminated, and the repair process, handled through HomeServe, is timely, seamless and high-quality.
“In addition to covering the cost of the repair, these service plans will provide WCSA customers with reputable, local contractors that will do the best possible job,” said Tom Rusin, CEO of HomeServe USA. “We’re very pleased to be partnering with WCSA and we look forward to providing Washington County homeowners with in the assistance they need when they encounter a home repair emergency.”
Accessible, Reliable, 24/7
HomeServe plan holders have access to a Repair Hotline that is accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, as well as local, licensed, and insured contractors to provide high-quality home repair services in a timely manner. The Exterior Water Service Line Coverage will be available $4.49 per month, the Exterior Sewer/Septic Line Coverage is available for $6.99 per month and a plan for in-home plumbing, the Interior Plumbing and Drainage Coverage, will also be available for $10.49 per month. Residents that enroll in the optional plan will have convenient payment options available directly through HomeServe.
