Larson Electronics Releases an Intrinsically Safe Multi-Function LED Head Lamp
Nov 06, 2015
Longtime leading supplier of explosion proof lighting equipment Larson Electronics has announced the release of a new multi-function LED head lamp made for use in hazardous locations where gases, vapors, and various dusts exist.
The EXP-LED-HL-MX2 intrinsically safe LED headlight from Larson Electronics produces an intense light beam while providing up to sixteen hours of illumination and features five operating modes with a simple dome push button. Two high intensity CREE LEDs mounted within an impact resistant housing are powered by three AAA batteries to produce a long lived light beam of up to 160 lumens in output.
This explosion proof head lamp includes an elastic head strap as well as an adjustable rubber strap to allow users to wear the unit directly on the head or on a hard hat. This work light is constructed of an impact resistant engineered polymer that has been drop tested from two meters, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens with a scratch resistant coating, and an IPX7 waterproof rating tested at one meter.
Two rubber dome push button switches allow easy operation between modes even when wearing gloves. The right push button operates the spotlights on/off function while the left button operates the high and low beams in spot and flood mode. The full power spotlight produces 115 lumens of light with a beam capable of reaching over 250’ in distance. The full power floodlight produces 120 lumens of light with a 5.25 hour runtime. The spot and flood light combination produces 160 lumens with a 3.5 hour runtime. This headlight provides users with a highly convenient and safe light source that leaves their hands free for work operations and is ideal for a wide variety of uses including public works, law enforcement, automotive, marine, and mining.
Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights and industrial grade LED area lights.
