Envirosight’s Vehicle Build Center Outfits 200th Sewer Inspection Vehicle.
Aug 18, 2017
Envirosight has built its 200th sewer inspection vehicle out of the Evan's City, PA facility.
Envirosight’s Evans City, PA Vehicle Build Center recently celebrated its 200th vehicle build-out, a milestone that arrived five months sooner than originally anticipated. The Evans City, PA facility opened in April 2013 to build sewer inspection vehicle for Envirosight’s customers. Inside, Sprinters, Dodge ProMasters, Ford Transits, box trucks and other chassis are built out to create full-service sewer inspection vehicles. The facility now has a capacity of 100 trucks per year.
"The 200th truck milestone is not only a tremendous achievement, but also a testament to the hard work and dedication of Envirosight’s Vehicle Build Center Team, as well as Envirosight’s sales team and sales partner network,” says Nicci Vislay, Truck Build Supervisor. “We are thrilled to be able to share this achievement as we begin to set our sights on achieving the 300-build milestone and revving up our production goals going into the 3rd quarter.” The Vehicle Build Center went from four employees to eight early this year in anticipation of adding Outpost mobile sewer inspection units to production, as well as increased production goals.
“A quality vehicle build makes all the difference in inspection productivity,” says Steve McDonald, Envirosight’s Vehicle Build Technician. “Our whole team works hard and is dedicated to maintaining the high standards Envirosight is known for among municipalities and municipal contractors. Our customers have one of the hardest jobs around, so they deserve to have the tools they need to increase productivity and make their lives easier.”
The Vehicle Build Center started out originally as a 5,550 square foot facility. “As demand grew, so did our need for more space,” says Vislay. In January 2015, Envirosight added 1,500 square feet to accommodate two more truck bays. Now, the facility turns out an average of six to eight sewer inspection trucks and two to five Outpost units per month.
The Evans City, PA Vehicle Build Center is just one of Envirosight’s vehicle production facilities. In December 2013, Envirosight licensed sales partner Haaker Equipment to operate a West Coast Vehicle Build Center in La Verne, CA. Having regional vehicle build centers on both coasts minimizes delivery time and costs.
