Envirosight Releases Paper on Manhole Inspection
Aug 02, 2018
New resource sheds light on how cities can support infrastructure improvements with manhole inspections.
Envirosight, a leading manufacturer of underground pipeline inspection equipment, has released a new white paper, Rethinking Manhole Inspection: A New Way to Reduce I&I Quickly and Cost-Effectively.
The public’s renewed focus on regional infrastructure provides an opportunity for wastewater systems to increase funding and rehabilitate systems. Yet it also brings increased scrutiny and accountability, demanding that operators find efficient solutions at low cost.
This white paper discusses why manhole inspection and rehabilitation is a cost-effective addition to many maintenance programs and reviews the latest developments in automated manhole inspection technology.
Many utilities focus their inflow and infiltration (I&I) abatement efforts on pipeline inspection and rehabilitation and neglect access points. “Inspection is a pivotal first step in rehabbing manholes,” says Jake Wells, Director of Marketing for Envirosight.
“But so often, manholes end up forgotten entirely. This white paper serves as both a case study on the effectiveness of manhole inspection and a guide to help contractors and municipalities choose the right manhole inspection system for their needs.”
