Amsterdam Pipe Conference: Last Call For Papers
Oct 15, 2019
Organizers of PLASTIC PIPES XX are expecting to receive as many as 100 abstracts for their conference and exhibition that takes place in the “Pipe” District of Amsterdam at the Hotel Okura on September 21 - 23, 2020. With a deadline of 22 October this year, only a few weeks remain for delegates to submit their abstracts.
Sarah Patterson who is Co-Chair of the PPXX Organizing Committee and Chair of the Technical Program is confident that the event will prompt landmark developments in the business and technology of her industry.
“The world of plastic pipes continues to share its innovative versatility through our truly international conference and exhibition.”
“Many new developments have been presented during the PPCA conferences. For PPXIX in Las Vegas, examples included: a PEX pipe from bio-based sustainable resource (Canada), composite pipe made from polyethylene/aluminum/polyethylene in a PVC casing for outdoor gas conveyance (China), subsea 560 mm SDR 7.27 PE100 pipe (UAE), new thermoforming process for integrated PP-HM sockets (Italy), new bimodal dual rated PE4710/ PE100 polyethylene resin design addressing large diameter heavy walled pipe (USA), application of biomimetric design concepts for pipe (Austria) and new booster heat stabilizers for PVC and CPVC compounds (Italy).”
Patterson explains that the subject matter for papers focuses on “all aspects of plastic pipe systems such as raw materials, joining methods/components, processing equipment, additive/ingredients, test methods, plastic pipeline solutions, application areas, sustainability performance and latest market issues.”
The full list of key subjects and critical technical program dates are posted to the PPXX conference web page.
“Our conference is the forum for human and pipeline connections. Next year's event will be no exception,” Patterson affirms.
PPCA has published a factsheet to inform potential delegates of the benefits of participation. This information alongside details of registration, sponsorship and exhibition space has been posted to the PPCA website.
