Trenchless Asia 2006 - Exhibition and Conference

In 2004, the first Trenchless Asia show held in China attracted 100 companies from 13 countries. 2000 visitors, 85% from China and the remainder from the Asia Pacific region, attended the 3 day event. In 2006 the organisers expect to double the size of the event.Fully supported by the ISTT it is timed to coincide with the formation in China of new Trenchless Technology Societies in Beijing and the province of Guangdong, who will join the existing and thriving Trenchless Society in Shanghai. With an urban population of 528 million, the authorities in China are fast tracking the introduction of trenchless technologies to keep pace with the demand for underground utility services.

A two day conference programme will be held alongside the Exhibition, providing engineers with an opportunity to learn about the applications of various trenchless techniques, while at the same time addressing the challenges particular to the China market. Technical papers will present technology and techniques used in all aspects of planning, management, evaluation and design, new installation, repair and rehabilitation. Case studies illustrating examples of projects undertaken in the region will also highlight the challenges, solutions and benefits of using trenchless techniques.Please notice further information in the attached document.
