International Exhibition of Equipment, Machinery and Techniques for the Construction and Building Materials Industry

Apr 24, 2006 - Apr 29, 2006
Target groups: students, technicians, labourers, skilled tradesmen, engineers
Category: Exhibition
The last Intermat exhibition largely overcame its goals. Its surface area increased, and the number of construction industry visitors and international exhibitors was on the rise.

Intermat sets the standard for equipment and construction machinery exhibitions worldwide. Its representativeness is achieved through a distribution of the industries per business sector and with the diversity of the offer in terms of equipment and machinery types.

Intermat is simultaneously:
  • The generic construction industry exhibition featuring:
    - all the full-liners and multipurpose equipment manufacturers,
    - all building contractors and equipment and materials manufacturers.
  • Products aimed at specific sectors all under one roof, with a clear sector-oriented presentation that allows exhibitors to promote their specialised equipment and machinery according to target customer base.
  • A forum for networking and dialogue, themed talks, round-table discussions and feedback sessions complement the equipment and machinery on show.
  • Supported by sector-oriented promotion
    - targeted promotion prior to the exhibition,
    - sector-oriented trails guide visitors to the products that specifically interest them.

With 1,500 exhibitors, Intermat 2006 will have a comprehensive offering of equipment, machinery and techniques for the construction and building materials industry.

200,000 trade visitors (contractors, distributors, plant hire firms, etc.) from the civil engineering, construction and building materials sectors will come from all over the world to see the equipment and machinery on show and find out about developments for the future.

An overview of today's technology and the innovations that will shape the future give "The Innovation Awards". A showcase for the latest technological breakthroughs selected by a panel of European experts, the Innovation Awards recognise the most innovative machinery, equipment, techniques and services.

In a 30,000 sq.m outdoor demonstration area, some 15 companies will present a range of earthmoving, crushing/grinding, drilling, boring and laser guidance equipment under actual working conditions.
