Rock mechanics is virtually part of daily life in Switzerland. We live with numerous mountain tunnels and slopes. Rock mechanics offers better environmental solutions to energy and infrastructure development, including hydropower, geothermal energy, radioactive waste repository, carbon storage, and mine rehabilitation.
EUROCK 2010 is an ISRM Regional Symposium of Europe, organized by the Swiss Society for Soil and Rock Mechanics and the Laboratory for Rock Mechanics (LMR) in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), for the European rock mechanics community. We would like to welcome you to Switzerland in June 2010 to share, to cooperate, and to progress together.
