The 11th ACUUS International  Conference: "Underground Space: Expanding the Frontiers" is co-organized by the  Laboratory of Mining and Environmental Technology, N.T.U.A. and  ACUUS.

The organization of the  conference is progressing well and we have received many interesting abstracts.  If you would like to participate in this conference please submit your abstract  as soon as possible and note that the abstract deadline is  30  September 2006 and the paper deadline is 31 March 2007.

The conference aims not only at strengthening and promoting the scientific knowledge but also at bringing closer engineers, architects, policy planners and decision makers, in a pursue to bridge the gap between them and develop common policies that will  allow the wider adoption of underground development. Thus, the conference will  be facilitating technical sessions, exhibitions and several forum discussions  where major issues are to be addressed.
