UNITRACC News Issue: December 2006

Welcome

Dear Sir or Madam,

December has come and with it the last issue of the UNITRACC Newsletter in 2006. Nevertheless, we have not run out interesting news and articles from the field of underground infrastructure.

In the UNITRACC e-Journal you will find the third and final part of the article series Master plan for a sustainable supply and disposal infrastructure of mega cities written by UNITRACC editor Dipl.-Ing. Robert Stein. This time the article deals with materials and methods of construction as well as other concepts of multiple installation besides utility tunnels.

We all know Christmas is around corner, and for the last two weeks the UNITRACC start page has already been wrapped in a nice seasonal design.
In many countries all over the world Advent Calendars tell their owners how many days are left until Christmas, most of the time with chocolate and other sweets behind each window. Now have a look at our UNITRACC version! Each window holds a little surprise or entertaining oddity from the field of pipeline construction and maintenance.

The Unitracc-Team wishes all readers a peaceful and merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Enjoy reading and exploring the underground with UNITRACC!

Your UNITRACC Team

The Editor's note

Dear UNITRACC-Users,
Robert Stein
Dipl.-Ing.
Robert Stein

As the editor of UNITRACC I would like to take the opportunity to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!

A busy and eventful year has passed and during this time UNITRACC has grown in all its areas.
Only in March we officially launched the international version of UNITRACC at the No-Dig Show in Nashville, which was excellently supported and organized by the NASTT. Again my compliments and a great thank you for your efforts.
The eLearning course "Trenchless 101" can be considered a result of the cooperation between UNITRACC and the NASTT. "Trenchless 101" will be available on UNITRACC in spring next year.
Besides the USA, this year also took me to various countries all over the world to present UNITRACC. One extremely exciting and impressive highlight, of course, was the No-Dig Conference and Exhibition in Brisbane, Australia.

But nevertheless, all travels again confirmed the fact that there is a growing demand for high-quality eLearning all over the world -
a feature UNITRACC will focus on even stonger in the future.

At the beginning of this year Knowledge Factory GmbH was founded as the operating company of UNITRACC. This step became necessary to meet the increasing demand of our users more flexibly.

This is where I would like to thank you for your loyalty and support.
The UNITRACC-Team is looking forward to another exciting year and will do the very best to continue to provide you with the quality you are used to.

Seasons greetings,

Dipl.-Ing. Robert Stein
