UNITRACC News Issue: April 2007

Welcome

Robert Stein

Dear Sir or Madam,

This April issue of the UNITRACC Newsletter is packed with the latest information from the world of underground infrastructures and refer to the whole range UNITRACC has to offer.

During the past weeks the UNITRACC-Team was busy organizing an elearning course held in cooperation with the Indian Society for Trenchless Technology (IndSTT). The fundamental course on trenchless techniques was attended by Indian decision makers in New Delhi. More details here.
Among the latest articles in the E-Journal the article on HDD equipment operation guidelines by Niranjan Swarup (Executive Director of the IndSTT) again clearly proves that training and qualification is a big issue also in India.

This month also launches several new features on the platform. Only to mention a few, take a look at the Information Area where you find several new Technical Information Systems on line networks, geotechnical investigation and un-manned steerable and unsteerable trenchless construction techniques. The Learning Area was updated with new Presentations dealing with gallery techniques and manhole repair, for example. Take a look what's in store...

Enjoy exploring the underground with UNITRACC.

Kind regards,

Dipl.-Ing. Robert Stein
(UNITRACC Editor)
