Global Leakage Summit
As well as dealing with networks with ageing infrastructure and continual bursts, today’s utilities must also manage several external pressures on network operations; caused by climate change, drought and natural disasters. The latest of these pressures, of course, is the Covid-19 pandemic, which has wreaked havoc on water utility operations, and put at risk the ability for water operators to meet their leakage targets.
The Global Leakage Summit is coming to London again on 8-9 December, with pre-conference workshops on 7 December, to feature the most innovative and successful examples of delivering and maintaining reduced leakage levels across the world. Now more than ever, the water industry needs to use this opportunity for knowledge, information and resource sharing between utilities, and the Global Leakage Summit will, as ever, play an important role in facilitating dynamic conversations around best practices and strategies for leakage management, and how the implementation of the newest technologies are working in practice.
The focus for the 2020 conference will be on ‘Innovation, Collaboration and Cooperation’, bringing together best practice policies and innovative technologies to achieve leakage targets and meet customer demand while facing political and economic challenges and ageing network infrastructure.
The world-class speaker line-up will include international water network practitioners from Chile, France, Ireland, Italy, Macao, Singapore, Spain, and USA, while the UK industry will be represented by speakers from Anglian Water, Affinity Water, Bristol Water, Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Portsmouth Water, SES Water, Scottish Water, Southern Water, South West Water, Thames Water and Yorkshire Water.
