Envirosight Releases Guide to Grant Applications for Wastewater Operators
Nov 12, 2018
Free resource guides readers through the application process for outside financial assistance.
Envirosight, a market leader in underground pipeline inspection solutions, has released a resource for wastewater operators to learn the basics of the grant application process, from determining eligibility to responding to evaluations.
It also walks readers through the components of a grant application and how to produce them. The guide is a companion piece to Envirosight’s Guide to Municipal Grants.
The White House’s announcement of an infrastructure investment plan in January of 2018 caused a renewed interest in alternative funding sources.
With many politicians and federal agencies refocused on investing in infrastructure, now is the perfect time for wastewater operators to begin planning for and working towards winning outside grant funding.
Grant applications vary widely in their requirements, award criteria and difficulty. While some municipalities may have an employee or department devoted to producing grant applications, most do not. This lack of expertise can leave smaller communities at a disadvantage when attempting to access outside funding opportunities.
Our guide assists readers in producing winning grant applications by demystifying the application process. It also provides guidance on seeking outside assistance for producing a grant application.
“Grants are a great way for wastewater departments to upgrade their infrastructure and purchase new equipment,” says Allison Symonds, marketing communications manager for Envirosight. “But, the process is often complicated and can be overwhelming for anyone inexperienced in writing grant applications. Our guide makes it easier to write a grant application, so these departments can get the financial assistance they need.”
