Less talk, more walk at PLASTIC PIPES XIX
Jul 05, 2018
Organizers of the PLASTIC PIPES XIX Conference and Exhibition report that there will be a total of 99 papers delivered at this year's event. A preliminary handbook of abstracts is now posted to the website of the PPXIX conference that will take place in Las Vegas, USA, at the Red Rock Resort on September 24 – 26, 2018.
Zoran Davidovski, Chair of the Conference Technical Program comments: “The technical and commercial world of plastic pipes gets together only once every two years. Our last conference in Berlin featured the delivery of 119 papers and hosted almost 450 delegates from 43 countries.”
“In Las Vegas this year, we took a conscious decision to reduce the volume of papers to 99 and turn up the volume of networking. Europe will deliver the lion's share of presentations (39 papers), followed by USA (26 papers) and China (26 papers). The abstract book also includes papers from India, Japan, Austria, United Arab Emirates, China, Spain and many others.”
Davidovski explains that technicial delegates slightly exceed business delegates on the conference floor: “The fascinating yet complex versatility of plastics in our industry is such that numerous university science professors from around the world will attend Plastics Pipes XIX. It is also important to note that typically almost 40 per cent of delegates to this conference will occupy top level CEO/Vice President status.”
“What is even more remarkable is the scale, scope and spectrum of conference delegates that reflect the complete diversity of the value supply chain behind the global plastic pipe industry. Our conferences host pipe designers, raw material producers, consultants, architects, civil engineers, major utility providers, pipe, fittings and extrusion equipment manufacturers, scientists, representatives of government agencies and industrial associations.”
“Qui se ressemble, s'assemble!” notes Davidovski. “We are known by the company we keep. And it is those conversations that have produced a culture of innovation and commercial growth. Given this leading edge pace of progress, our conference will further emphasize the features and related benefits of the systems we produce and the ways our technology produces them.”
