Oct 07, 2020
Target groups: skilled tradesmen, engineers, technicians, students
Category: Conference

The summit will provide a comprehensive overview and competitive technology showcase of a spectrum of problems and solutions related to the "Leak Detection and Third-Party Impact Prevention" in these challenging times.

The conference offers:

  • Knowledge Tranfer
  • Networking
  • Competetive Technology Showcase

Pipelines run, mostly below ground, over long distances through diverse areas and are as such vulnerable to illegal tapping activities and accidental damage caused by third parties involved in digging, excavating and other earth moving activities. Several measures have been put in place and actions taken over the years, including marking, enhanced surveillance, regular contacts with landowners, local communities, utility organizations and civil contractors. Although the frequency of related incidents has decreased in most regions of the world, intentional and accidental third-party interference remains major causes of failure in the pipeline networks. Pipeline operators do already exchange their experience in different international working groups and can benefit from a wide range of different solutions on the market.

Focusing on:

  • Fiber Optic Sensing
  • Illegal Tapping
  • Leak Detection Pigs
  • Leak Detection systems
  • Remote Sensing
  • Third-party Impact
